Top-Tier Telecommunications and Microwave Carriers With Value Pricing

Trumpet utilizes only top-tier private line and Internet providers, such as AT&T, Verizon Business/MCI, Qwest, XO Communications, Global Crossing, Level 3, and Sprint for T1 circuits.

Trumpet also designs and installs custom microwave networks and utilizes the existing networks of leading microwave carriers to provide secure, reliable microwave circuits equivalent to T1 (and higher).

By selecting the least-cost land line and microwave T1 options from among a wide range of quality carriers, Trumpet's customers benefit from competition between carriers and technologies. This permits Trumpet to provide superior quality and value in head-to-head competition with other providers.

Point-to-Point T1 Connections

Trumpet's telecommunications, microwave, and laser point-to-point circuits provide private connections between customer facilities, disaster recovery sites, and data centers. Trumpet's turn-key land line, microwave, and laser solutions are engineered and built for speed, long-term reliability and exceptional value.

Trusted Adviser

Trumpet's broad range of solutions coupled with its technology-neutral stance permits Trumpet to focus on providing the best overall value for its customers, rather than pushing a particular carrier network or transport technology. This allows Trumpet to be a trusted advisor and consultant to its customers, developing long-term business relationships by providing superior value and service.

Monitoring

In addition to the carriers' network monitoring, Trumpet provides 24x7 LAN/WAN monitoring and reporting through Monitorology for all of its networks.

About T1

A T1, short for Telecommunications Carrier 1 or T-CXR, is the most common digital signal carrier facility used to transmit voice and data communications over a copper and fiber optic network. A T1 line, consists of 25 8-bit channels that support 24 digitized voice channels and one for frame synchronization and demultiplexing at the receiver. T1s offer speeds of 1.544 million bits per second (Mbps) to deliver voice and Internet traffic to small and medium-sized businesses and organizations.

T1, which is sometimes used interchangeably with “DS1”, is the physical connection between the user's location and the carrier's point of presence. DS1 is not the connection, but rather the logical bit pattern used over a physical T1 line.

The T1 was created in the late 1950's by AT&T Bell Labs to reduce the cost of transmission via frequency-division multiplexing of digital signals in metropolitan areas. Instead of using expensive demodulators and filters for every voice channel, AT&T Bell developed pulse-code modulation and time-division multiplexing to send multiple voice signals into one muxing/demuxing receiver.
