Trumpet DS3/T3 (45 Mbps) Internet solutions provide secure, reliable and cost-effective connectivity for a nearly infinite range of business uses.
Trumpet's DS3 circuits allow companies to increase the effectiveness of their IT resources and enhance the viability of SaaS, VoIP, IP PBX, streaming video and emerging web-enabled technologies.
Top-Tier Telecommunications and Microwave Carriers With Value Pricing
Trumpet utilizes only top-tier Internet providers, such as AT&T, Verizon Business/MCI, Qwest, XO Communications, Global Crossing, Level 3, and Sprint for land line DS3 circuits.
Trumpet also designs and installs custom microwave networks and utilizes the existing networks of leading microwave carriers to provide secure, reliable microwave circuits equivalent to DS3 (and higher).
By selecting the least-cost DS3 Internet circuit and microwave options from among a wide range of quality carriers, Trumpet's customers benefit from competition between carriers and technologies. This permits Trumpet to provide superior quality and value in head-to-head competition with other providers.
Tailored Service Options
In addition, Trumpet tailors its service to the customer's particular needs. For DS3 service, this can include offering "burstable" and "fractional" services.
Trumpet's burstable DS3 service is designed for customers requiring full DS3 speeds on a periodic basis. Our customer pays for the lower bandwidth it really needs, typically 10, 15, 20 or 30 Mbps, and the circuit automatically delivers speeds of up to 45 Mbps when required for peak demand.
Fractional, or tiered, DS3 connections permit Trumpet to provision a DS3 for secure use by several customers simultaneously. Fractional DS3 connections are ideal for businesses whose bandwidth requirements are expected to grow over the near term.
Point-to-Point Connections
Trumpet's land-based optical fiber and microwave or optical laser point-to-point circuits provide private connections between customer facilities or out to the Internet. Trumpet's turn-key fiber line, microwave and laser solutions are engineered and built for speed, long-term reliability and exceptional value.
Trusted Adviser
Trumpet's broad range of solutions coupled with its technology-neutral stance permits Trumpet to focus on providing the best overall value for its customers, rather than pushing a particular carrier network or transport technology. This allows Trumpet to be a trusted advisor and consultant to its customers, developing long-term business relationships by providing superior value and service.
Monitoring
In addition to the carriers' network monitoring, Trumpet provides 24x7 LAN/WAN device health and performance monitoring and reporting.
About DS3
DS-3 is short for "Digital Signal Level 3" and is synonymous with "T-3." DS3 connections provide symmetrical (simultaneous up/down) data rates of 44.736 Mbps, equivalent to 28 T1 lines. DS3 circuits have the capacity to support hundreds of individual users. For example, they can handle over 670 simultaneous VoIP conversations or provide bi-directional Gigabit file transfers in seconds.
DS-3 circuits typically travel over fiber optic backbones but utilize coaxial cable for customer hand-off.
The European "E-3" is similar to a DS3 but roughly 10 Mbps slower at 34.368 Mbps.
DS3 pricing has two components: the local loop charge and the port charge. The local loop, or the last mile, is the cost of the Local Exchange Carrier access from your company's or agency's location to the main carrier network. This price depends on several factors, including the distance from the carrier network to your location. Trumpet's FCC-licensed microwave networks, and in some cases FSO connections, are particularly effective as last mile and local loop alternatives to leased or owned fiber.
